Newly established in 2024, Easthaus is an artist-run contemporary apartment art gallery located in Portland, Maine. With historic hardwood floors and angular third floor ceilings, Easthaus hosts a unique viewing experience between art, artists, and viewers. Work exhibited will have a predominant focus on two-dimensional works though Easthaus is open to working with artists needs and space limitations to come up with an exhibition that is both exciting and attentive. Easthaus currently works on a pop-up/invitation basis for exhibition planning. We can only accommodate for appointment viewing hours only but when receptions are to be held, invitations will be sent out with relevant information about the galleries location and viewing hours. Easthaus is supported by artist couple Drew Eastwood and Alyssa Schadhauser whose aim is to give artists the agency to create, show and engage with a community of like-minded individuals to network for future endeavors.
